The Parish Pastoral Council wish to thank all parishioners who contributed in any way to this year’s Parish Assembly. We hope you enjoyed the evening and found it informative. The Council will meet to review the evening and to begin to collate the responses and suggestions that were made on the night. We hope to publish a brief summary of the feedback in the near future.
The Parish Council have brought together all the feedback we have heard to date, and incorporated as much as possible into a Parish Development Plan. The Parish Council will be presenting this plan to the parish at the assembly on Sunday 21 March at 7.00pm in the Parish Centre. The Parish Pastoral Council met on 3 March, when we finalised plans for the for the annual Parish Assembly which will be held on Sunday 29th March in the Parish Centre at 7pm.
The Assembly is an important Parish event and all parishioners are invited to attend. This year, the layout of the Assembly has been altered to allow parishioners to express thoughts and ideas about what it means to belong to a parish. To help us do this, the Council has focused the Assembly on the question, “What is Parish -What is St. Anne’s Parish.
Participation of parishioners is vital. We encourage you to attend the Parish Assembly as our Parish Pastoral Council cannot move forward without the support of our parishioners. We look forward to seeing you!
There will be a meeting of the full Council on Tuesday 3rd March at 8 pm
in the Parochial House.
The Parish Pastoral Council met on 3 February, when we reflected on “What is parish?”, reported back in the work undertaken by subgroups, and started to plan the next parish assembly.
The parish assembly will be held on Sunday 29 March, in the Parish Centre, and is an opportunity for parishioners to find out more about the work of the Parish Pastoral Council and give us feedback. All parishioners are invited to attend.
The Parish Pastoral Council met on Tuesday 2 December, when Philip O’Hara updated the PPC on the work of the Child Protection Committee. The PPC fully support this work and remind all volunteers who are, or wish to be, involved in parish work with either children or vulnerable adults, that they are now required to undergo awareness training and Access NI checks.

Since the election of the Parish Pastoral Council on weekend 26th/27th April 2008 the members of the Council have been considering how the Parish Pastoral Council would continue its work in St Anne’s Parish.
Last weekend, 11th/12th October, the members had an overnight stay in Dromantine Conference Centre, and the meeting was facilitated by Bro. Pat Mullins. At the end of the meeting the following Officers were elected:

Secretary: Mrs Bernie Cooney
